"Richard III" Fundación Kevin Spacey. CENTRO NIEMEYER


10 students of our school have attended last Thursday 29th September to the workshop in English dedicated to the play of theatre “Richard III” in the activities of the Kevin Spacey Association, in the Niemeyer Centre in Avilés.


The workshop gave the students the opportunity to learn more about Richard III, have a chance to work with professional actors, explore physical theatre techniques, and meet other young people with a passion for theatre from around the world.
After the workshop, the students assisted to the performance of Richard III at Palacio Valdes, and straight after the performance the students remained at the theatre for an exclusive Question and Answer session with Kevin Spacey.

Richard Rampage is a global project that began in the UK. The students will have the opportunity to share the skills and knowledge they have learnt online connecting with other young people who will participate in the workshops in Beijing, hong Kong, Singapore, Sydney, Istanbul, San Francisco, Doha and New York.

The workshop finished with the creation of  a short film which will then be edited and posted onto the Richard’s Rampage  website, which will link the work of students around the world.
The students have enjoyed all the activities. The departments implied in this task have been, the Activities Department, the Language Department with the drama teacher Ana Roces and the English Department with Carmen Artime.


10 alumnos de nuestro I.E.S han asistido el pasado jueves 29 de Septiembre al taller de teatro dedicado a la obra “Richard III” que se realizó en Inglés dentro de las actividades llevadas a cabo por la Fundación Kevin Spacey –“Richard Rampage” en el centro Niemeyer de Avilés.

El taller, tuvo lugar en el Club de dicho centro de 15 a 18 horas y a continuación los alumnos fueron invitados a asistir a la representación teatral de “Ricardo III” en el teatro Palacio Valdés de Avilés.

Una vez acabada la representación participaron, junto con los demás integrantes del taller, en una sesión de preguntas y respuestas con el actor principal de la obra, “Kevin Spacey “, por espacio de media hora.
Ellos dicen haber disfrutado de todas las actividades, el taller, la obra de teatro y la sesión de preguntas y respuestas.

El video de su trabajo en el taller será colgado el la página web de la Fundación Kevin Spacey y se intentará publicar también en esta página en días sucesivos.
Los departamentos que han colaborado en este acto fueron el Departamento de Actividades, el Departamento de Lengua  y Literatura con la profesora de teatro Ana Roza y el Departamento de Inglés con la profesora Carmen Artime.
